Before your first video: five things to set up on your Passport

Your Go2Pro Passport is your football profile. It is free, and it stays free. Before you upload your first Go2Pro29 video, spend ten minutes on these five steps.

1. Fill in the profile honestly

Position, preferred foot, date of birth, the club you play for. Scouts compare what they see in the video with what they read. If the profile says striker and every clip shows a full-back, they move on. Only your first name is public: surname, email and phone stay private.

2. Link a parent if you are under 18

Create the 6-digit PIN from your profile and give it to your parent or guardian. It works once and expires after 24 hours. Until a parent is linked, none of your videos can be published.

3. Use the presentation code from your club

If your club, school or a Go2Pro partner gave you a code, enter it at sign-up. It links you to the people who can support you locally. If nobody gave you one, keep the default Go2Pro code.

4. Plan your first three clips

  • One clip of your main strength.
  • One clip of a real game situation: receiving under pressure, a 1v1, a decision.
  • One clip of something less obvious: your weaker foot, defensive work, a header.

During the 14-day trial you can upload up to 5 videos a week, so there is no rush. Three good clips in the first week are enough.

5. Get someone to film properly

Ask a parent or a friend to film from the side of the pitch, with the phone steady, in daylight or under good floodlights. Start recording a couple of seconds before your action.

After the first upload

If you are under 18, your parent approves the video before it goes online. Then check the counters now and then, keep training, and add one good clip a week.
