What is free on Go2Pro and what you pay for: a plain guide for parents
Parents ask us one question more than any other: “How much does this cost?” The honest answer is that a lot of Go2Pro is free, and the paid part is easy to understand. This guide walks through it, step by step, so you can decide with a clear head.
The Passport costs nothing
Your child’s football Passport is free, for life. It holds the basics: first name, age group, position, club and the videos a scout will watch. You can open it today, fill it in at your own pace and keep it for as long as you like. No card is needed to get started.
The first 14 days
Every new player gets a 14-day trial. During the trial your child can upload up to 5 videos a week. That is plenty of time to post a few real match moments and see how the app works. If you are not convinced, you stop there. The Passport stays.
When a plan is needed
After the trial, uploading new videos needs a yearly plan. There are two:
- Basic: 1 video a week.
- Pro: 5 videos a week.
Videos already online stay visible either way. The plan is only about adding new ones. For most families Basic is enough. One good clip a week, chosen together, usually says more than five rushed ones.
Where you see the price
We do not publish prices in this guide because they can change by country. The app shows you the current price before you pay. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
Who buys the plan
If your child is under 18, you buy it. The player cannot do it alone. Players aged 18 or older buy their own plan. Plans are sold by 8id Ltd. (LutinX) on behalf of Go2Pro, and you pay by card through Stripe. You never type your card details into Go2Pro itself.
Coupons and club codes
Some clubs and partners hand out a discount code. If you have one, enter it at checkout. If a code does not work, write to us from the Contact page before you pay.
Changing your mind
The rules for cancelling a purchase are on the Right of Withdrawal page at go2pro.io. Read it before you buy, so you know where you stand.
One more limit to know
New videos can be uploaded until the day before the player’s 22nd birthday. After that, the videos already online remain visible.
Our advice
Use the trial properly. Post two or three clips, watch the scout counter, and talk about it with your child. Then decide. A plan bought in a hurry rarely gets used well.
